Students have partners.  Ball represents H+ ion.  Start with ball = acid, without ball = base.  After throw (reaction) if you have the ball and were a base now you are a conjugate acid or if you had the ball and now don't you are a conjugate base.  Acid has the ball (proton donor)Base is ready to catch (proton acceptor)Cool activity to bring abstract to concrete.
